Welcome to LEMON + GOOSE!

My name is Sophie Laing, and this is my website. The name LEMON + GOOSE stems from my love of lemons and the nickname bestowed upon me by my bf - ‘Goose’.

My journey to art has been somewhat unconventional, as I have moved from career path to career path. I always thought that art would be something I would do for fun in my retirement, rather than now. However, after a fairly tumultuous year, the idea of waking up and making prints sounded really calm.

I’m still working on getting to calm, especially in light of my ADHD diagnosis in March, but moving to Sheffield and slowly setting up LEMON + GOOSE has really helped. I’m very keen to include more about my ADHD and mental health in general in to my art, but it also won’t always be the focus. The main takeaway from my art and ADHD is that it does impact all of my work, particularly in how my ideas are formed, where I get my inspiration from, and the different styles my prints take.

On here, you’ll find primarily lino prints, but also a few screen prints and etchings, maybe even stickers at some point!

As the majority of my items are handprinted, there may be small differences in each print, and may vary slightly from the pictures you see on here.
